3. Use of Service

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for:

3.2 Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose, monetization, or to derive revenue from Reddit data or User Content
• Use Reddit User Content to train machine learning, artificial intelligence, or algorithmic models
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, lease, sublicense, or exploit any portion of the Service or Reddit data without express written permission
• Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce or that exceeds API rate limits
• Circumvent or exceed limitations on API calls or use the Service in a manner that constitutes excessive or abusive usage
• Make any statement suggesting partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by Reddit

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate and complete information when creating an account

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Platform Intelligence and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service. However, by using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

6. Third-Party Services and API Compliance

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Google Trends, GitHub, Twitter, and Medium. Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service, developer terms, API terms, and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services.

6.1 Reddit Responsible Builder Policy Compliance

This Service is designed to fully comply with Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy, Developer Terms, Data API Terms, and Public Content Policy. By using this Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following Reddit-specific compliance measures:

6.1.1 Explicit Approval and Transparency

• We have submitted a detailed application to Reddit requesting Data API access, outlining our project's purpose, use case, and compliance measures.
• This Service clearly discloses how and why we access Reddit data - exclusively for personal, non-commercial research and educational content creation.
• We do not mask or misrepresent our data usage intentions. All purposes are clearly documented.

6.1.2 Usage Limits and Rate Limit Compliance

• Our application implements rate limiting that strictly adheres to Reddit's API rate limits (60 requests per minute per OAuth client).
• We do not circumvent or exceed access limits. Our implementation includes automatic rate limit detection, request throttling, and exponential backoff.
• We ensure our data usage does not disrupt Reddit's APIs or supporting networks. All requests are made in a respectful, non-abusive manner.
• We do not use automated systems to access Reddit in a manner that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce.

6.1.3 Non-Commercial Use Compliance

• This Service does not sell, license, share, or otherwise commercialize Reddit data. No revenue is derived from Reddit data, services, or User Content.
• The Service is completely free and not monetized. There are no subscriptions, payments, or revenue streams.
• Reddit data is not used for advertising, ad targeting, or any commercial marketing purposes.
• We do not sell, lease, sublicense, or share Reddit data with third parties for any purpose.

6.1.4 AI/ML Training Prohibition

• Reddit User Content is NOT used to train machine learning, artificial intelligence, or algorithmic models. This is explicitly prohibited.
• Reddit User Content is only displayed for research and educational content creation purposes, with proper attribution.
• We do not process Reddit data to create training datasets, embeddings, or any other form of AI/ML training material.

6.1.5 Data Handling and Retention

• We retain copies of Reddit data only as necessary for immediate research functionality. Data is automatically deleted when no longer needed.
• Our system regularly updates data to reflect any removals or deletions from Reddit. We respect content removal requests immediately.
• Reddit data is deleted when: (a) no longer necessary for research, (b) requested by Reddit or users, (c) required by law, or (d) when users stop using the Service.
• We do not maintain long-term archives of Reddit data beyond what is necessary for active research.

6.1.6 Privacy and User Protection

• We do not process Reddit data to infer sensitive characteristics about Reddit users, such as health status, political affiliation, or sexual orientation.
• We do not attempt to re-identify or de-anonymize Reddit user data. We respect user privacy and anonymity.
• All Reddit user data is handled in accordance with Reddit's privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.
• We only access publicly available Reddit content. We do not access private messages, private subreddits, or any non-public data.

6.1.7 Read-Only Access

• This Service operates in read-only mode. We do not post, comment, vote, or modify any content on Reddit.
• The Service does not perform any user actions on Reddit. All access is passive and read-only.
• We do not automate any actions that would require user authentication or perform user-like activities.

6.1.8 Proper Attribution

• All Reddit User Content is properly attributed with links back to the original Reddit post/comment and citation of the applicable user's username.
• Attribution is provided in accordance with Reddit's brand guidelines and terms of service.
• Every piece of Reddit content displayed includes a direct link to the original Reddit post or comment.

6.1.9 Content Removal Compliance

• If Reddit or a user requests removal of User Content, we delete it immediately from our systems.
• Users can request content removal through our Privacy Policy contact form or by emailing privacy@platformintel.com.
• We support users in escalating removal requests to Reddit through their official channels if needed.

6.1.10 No Misleading Statements

• This is an independent research tool. We do not suggest partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by Reddit.
• All pages include clear disclaimers that this Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit.
• Reddit's name, logo, and trademarks are the property of Reddit, Inc. We use them only for attribution purposes in compliance with Reddit's brand guidelines.

6.2 General Platform API Terms Compliance

This Service uses various platform APIs and complies with each platform's Developer Terms, API Terms, and Terms of Service. By using this Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Non-Commercial Use: This Service is a personal, non-commercial research tool. No revenue is derived from platform data, services, or User Content. The Service is not monetized, sold, leased, sublicensed, or used for any commercial purpose.
• Read-Only Access: The Service does not post, comment, vote, or modify any content on any platform. All access is read-only for research and educational purposes.

• Content Removal: If a platform or user requests removal of User Content, we will delete it immediately. You may escalate removal requests to the respective platform through their official channels.
• Data Retention and Deletion: Platform data is deleted when: (a) it is no longer necessary for the stated research functionality, (b) requested by platforms or users, (c) required by law, or (d) when you stop using the Service.
• Rate Limit Compliance: We strictly adhere to all platform API rate limits and do not circumvent or exceed limitations on API calls as outlined in each platform's developer documentation.
• No Misleading Statements: This Service does not suggest partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by any platform. This is an independent research tool.
• Platform Trademarks: All platform names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. This Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the integrated platforms.

10. Indemnification

Important: User Content is subject to each platform's User Agreement and the rights of the content creators. We comply with all content removal requests from platforms or users.

2.5 Reddit Data Handling (Reddit Responsible Builder Policy Compliance)

This Service complies with Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy in our handling of Reddit data:

Important: User Content is owned by platform users, not by the platforms or by us. We comply with all content removal requests from platforms or users. User Content is NOT used to train machine learning, artificial intelligence, or algorithmic models.
